Production Bench Jeweler (Full-Time)

SUMMARY

Join our team as a Production Bench Jeweler and be part of a dynamic, creative studio! Under the guidance of the Studio Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing our jewelry to life. We're looking for someone with solid foundational skills who can hit the ground running and support our production team with minimal training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High school diploma and 1+ years of production bench experience and/or jewelry-making training or equivalent experience
  • Skilled in all basic aspects of production including:
    • Cleaning castings
    • Polishing
    • Soldering/Assembling
  • Good eyesight, memory, and dexterity for hands-on work
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines with exemplary self-management
  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • Strong team player and eager to learn
  • Strong communication skills (English)
  • Interest in and appreciation of SKJ products
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

  • GIA certification and/or gemstone knowledge
  • Laser welding experience
  • Stone setting experience
  • Experience in volume production


PRIMARY JOB RELATED DUTIES:

  • Produce jewelry for orders according to steps taught by trainer and our production book instructions
  • Maintain our high quality standards and meet due dates
  • Work closely with studio team members to address problems, bottlenecks, improvements etc.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures when working with hazardous materials or equipment
  • Keep studio neat and clean 

SECONDARY JOB RELATED DUTIES:

  • Presents a professional and positive image on behalf of the Company.
  • Reports any safety or security concerns immediately to the Studio Manager.
  • Keeps studio area tidy and clean and ready for customer visitors at any time. 
  • Supports with any additional tasks related to primary job responsibilities as requested by Management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Staff Member is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, grab things with his/her hands and use various office equipment.
  • This job requires the ability to move around the office and run errands outside the Company.
  • The Staff Member must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally noisy due to production equipment.
  • The Staff Member must be able to tolerate airborne dust particles from production equipment in the studio.
  • Good vision, with or without aid, is required for this job.
  • Ability to travel independently.
